We at Scoil Náisiúnta Naomh Micheál have a long and proud history of involvement in sport.   Every year boys from senior classes take part in Sciath na Scol, Football and Hurling while girls take part in the Football and Camogie competitions.  We are very proud of our successes and especially with the girls' victories in the 2009/10 football and camogie sections.

Success is regularly achieved in other fields also especially in the annual City Sports where our boys and girls perform outstandingly each year.

In recent years various classes have taken part in Tag Rugby competitions. In the 2009/10 school year our Sixth Class won the Fair Play award at the Schools Tag Rugby Competition which was held in Ballincollig.

We are in the fortunate position of having access to the Community Field for coaching and practice sessions and we look forward to the community hall which, located at our doorstep, will greatly enhance the provision of sport in the school.
